Join JVE and new Musical Director Elizabeth MacIsaac in our first post-COVID concert.
We’re excited to be back, and as we emerge from our virtual exile, glad for the illumination brought to our minds and souls.
For our first performance in almost two years, the repertoire is a celebration of light and beauty in sound, revealed in the titles:
- Bright Morning Stars (Kirchner)
- Seek Him That Maketh the Seven Stars (Dove)
- Lux Arumque (Whitacre)
- The Stars Stand Up in the Air (Barnum)
- The Road Home (Paulus) and others.
Naturally we will be taking whatever COVID protocols are required, including singing with masks on and requiring all audience members to be double-vaxxed. Plan now to come – and let us brighten your spirits!
Toward The Light takes place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20 at St. Mary’s Kerrisdale, 2490 West 37th (at Larch) in Vancouver.
JVE is conducted by Elizabeth MacIsaac, with accompaniment by pianist Joseph Stacy.
